Measurement Guide

Accurate measurements are the foundation of a well-configured SpaceTenet system. This guide covers everything you need to measure before ordering — ceiling height, wall width, floor conditions, and corner configurations — so your system fits precisely from day one.

What You’ll Need

  • A steel tape measure (minimum 5m / 16ft)
  • A spirit level
  • A pencil and notepad or phone for recording measurements
  • A helper for ceiling height measurements (recommended)

Ceiling Height

Axis™ floor-to-ceiling systems use tension mounting between floor and ceiling. Measure your ceiling height at the exact installation point — not at the center of the room. Ceilings are rarely perfectly level, so measure at multiple points along the intended installation wall and record the lowest measurement. Axis™ poles are adjustable within a specified range; refer to the product page for your pole’s adjustment range.

Wall Width

Measure the full width of the wall where your system will be installed. For multi-pole configurations, note the distance between poles and any obstructions (sockets, switches, radiators, windows). Minimum clearance between poles is 300mm.

Floor Conditions

Axis™ systems require a firm, level floor surface. Measure floor levelness using a spirit level across the installation zone. Carpeted floors may require base pad accessories — check the System Compatibility Guide for compatible base options.

Corner Configurations

For corner installations using Axis™ Corner Pole, measure both walls meeting at the corner and confirm the corner angle is approximately 90°. Non-standard angles may require custom configuration — contact us via Start a Project for guidance.

Frame™ Partition Measurements

For Frame™ partition systems, measure the full span of the opening or zone you intend to divide. Record width, height, and floor-to-ceiling clearance. Note any ceiling beams, tracks, or obstructions that may affect panel alignment.

Recording Your Measurements

Document all measurements in millimeters (mm) for precision. Once complete, refer to our Space Planning Guide to match your dimensions to the right system configuration.
