Grid™ Installation
Grid™ panels are designed to be installed by a single person using standard household tools. A single panel installation takes approximately 15–20 minutes; a full-wall multi-panel installation can typically be completed in 1–2 hours. This page provides an overview of the installation process.
Before You Begin
- Identify your wall substrate (plasterboard, masonry, or timber) and confirm you have the correct fixings — all fixing types are included in the panel packaging
- Use a stud finder to locate wall studs if installing into plasterboard — fixing into studs is recommended for panels carrying significant loads
- Plan your panel layout on the wall using a pencil and spirit level before drilling
- For multi-panel installations, establish a horizontal reference line across the full installation width before fixing the first panel
Installation Overview
- Mark fixing positions using the supplied template, ensuring the panel will be level
- Drill fixing holes at marked positions and insert wall anchors if required
- Fix the mounting brackets to the wall using the supplied screws
- Hang the panel onto the mounted brackets — panels click into position and are secured by a locking tab
- Check level and adjust if necessary before locking
- Install accessories by pressing them into the grid at your chosen positions
Accessory Installation
All Grid™ accessories use the same click-fit system. To install, align the accessory mounting tabs with the grid, press firmly until you hear a click, and pull gently to confirm engagement. To remove, press the release tab and lift out.
