Axis™ Installation
Axis™ poles are designed to be installed by a single person in under 30 minutes, using only the tools included in the box. No drilling, no wall anchors, and no specialist skills are required. This page provides an overview of the installation process.
Before You Begin
- Measure your ceiling height and confirm it falls within the adjustment range of your pole (stated on the product page and packaging)
- Identify your installation position — poles should be positioned on a solid floor surface, not on thick carpet without a floor plate
- Check your ceiling surface — Axis™ poles are compatible with plasterboard, concrete, timber, and most standard ceiling surfaces. They are not suitable for suspended ceilings or surfaces with significant flex

Installation Overview
- Extend the pole to approximately your ceiling height using the adjustment mechanism
- Position the pole at your chosen location, holding it vertically
- Engage the tension mechanism by rotating the top section clockwise until firm contact is made with the ceiling
- Check vertical alignment using a spirit level and adjust the base position as needed
- Tighten to final tension — the pole should feel solid and immovable when correctly tensioned
- Install shelf brackets and components by sliding them onto the pole at your chosen heights and tightening the locking screws
Surface Compatibility
Axis™ poles distribute load across a contact pad at the ceiling and a base plate at the floor. Both surfaces must be solid and capable of bearing the distributed load. For specific surface compatibility questions, contact our team at support@spacetenet.com.
